I’ll tell you abit about me. I’m Nicole Weeks, but you can call me Nicky. I have been interested in and researching various aspects of positive psychology since I started my Psychology degree back in 2003. I have since completed my Bachelor of Psychology with first degree honours, Masters and PhD. I’ve been working as a researcher and tutor in psychology since 2008. I have assisted with the Masters level positive psychology and coaching course at Macquarie University for 5 years. My research has focused on human motivation, decision making, parenting, particularly around sleep and emotional regulation, childcare, and family resilience during parental cancer. Also, through work with Macquarie University’s Resilience Research and Training Systems group, I have delivered resilience workshops to a range of corporate and community groups. I have also attended multiple workshops in ACT, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, which is the theoretical model that underpins this course. In the next video I’ll tell you what you can expect from this course. See you then!
